Istanbul

Istanbul grew from the Istanbul Connection, a collaboration between Berlin and Istanbul shown in both cities from 2022 to 2024.

I photographed on journeys and in return visits: streets, interiors, people at the edge of a frame. The work is not a travel survey; it is a set of encounters in a city that does not sit still.

What I look for is how two cities speak to each other in faces and in walls — without pretending to complete a picture of Istanbul.
